Join us for an enriching tour of Cahir, a charming town in County Tipperary, Ireland. Our 60-minute walk will focus on the heart of this medieval town and its star attraction. We'll begin at the magnificent Cahir Castle, one of Ireland's largest and best-preserved medieval fortresses. As we explore its exterior and immediate surroundings, we'll discuss its 13th-century origins and significance in Irish history. Our walk will then take us through the town center, where we'll admire the colorful storefronts and traditional architecture while touching on Cahir's importance as a historical market town. We'll stroll along a short stretch of the River Suir, discussing the town's connection to the influential Butler family. Time permitting, we'll view the ruins of Cahir Abbey from a distance, learning about its place in the town's religious history.
