San José is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica, it is located in the center of the country. It is a city that is known for its natural beauty, a city packed with Victorian mansions, hipster coffee shops and craft beer bars. San José’s main focus was the coffee trade, and the city was built from its profits. The golden bean plantations still surround the city. This is a nice walk along the slopes of a volcano in the Arenal Volcano National Park. It will be a peaceful time on the trails along extensive and untouched rainforest. Here we can appreciate and be inspired by these natural wild gardens. This park is popular with birders, as most of the 850 species identified in Costa Rica can be found within the park's borders. Our tour will end where an impressive gigantic tree stands towering over its surroundings. This is a tree that has been on Earth for over 4 centuries. The tree is older than the country itself.
